proposal for final
My final project is going to be a comic that I am currently drawing. It will be around 60 pages. I’m gunna take those sixty pages and break them up into signatures (three signatures of five folded pages) and sew them into a cardstock cover. I’m not sure on cover design. Oh, the book is going to be 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches, which is a real nice size.

I took five copies of I Don’t Understand Farming #5 to Quimby’s.
As far as the zine goes, it is my least favorite of the five. I was trying something a little different, a little more professional (i guess), but I don’t think I spent quite enough time for the difference to be effective. Also, I was depressed and the writing in it is depressive.

week 3, i am a big fan of this one. now i am going to publish all of the comics we’ve done into a big ol’ book, and i can get you a copy when it’s done if you want.
what I have for my zine so far
(these are little things i have for my zine. critique on the writing would be the most helpful, i guess. i’m not too sure about form yet too. there is 17 little things. I want to do one bigger thing though, that would take up a couple pages, so i’d have to cut a good number of the little things. it will be 16 pages with a cover and back. see you guys tomorrow !)

This week i have been distributing my zine. After class I had fourteen zines leftover so I gave them out.
I gave:
7 to friends
3 to acquaintances
3 to strangers
and i put 1 on the free book rack.
I don’t really have a camera so i drew (poorly) everyone who i gave them to.
i hope none of these people see these.

The first zine I made was called “The Last Whataburger”. I made it last february for a transfer studio class. It was a collection of stories and drawings i did. It had a red-paper cover and none of the copies were stapled. I think I made about 15 of them and gave nearly all of them to classmates and the rest are lost.
